In Reply To 19-20psi on 93 octane? I can't decide if I should or not... posted by WhiteOutZ on October 08, 2004 at 11:51 AM

Message did it show a smooth power curve at 18psi?
did it the curve start to get rough at 18psi?

what about the A/F curve?
is it fat? or border line?

what is your timing (cas) at idle?

I say no.
It's not worth it.

Save yourself some uneccesary engine wear, and spend time on the dyno. Tune for absolute max boost under 91 octane(!). Use that tune for your 93 octane/boost tune. You now have a safe tune for 99% of the cars life.

Why do you want to go to 20psi anyway?
Are you having trouble getting the qualifying high in the field at a NASA/SCCA Pro event?
